Tip of the Week
Family Care Foundation (FCF) provides humanitarian services, as well as support and training to grassroots organizations in developing countries. FCF's slogan, "Caring for Today ... Investing in Tomorrow," is enacted through the organization's relief efforts and through its network of mission partners that provide emergency services and sustained development for communities, familie,s and children in 50 countries.
The FCF specifically addresses issues affecting orphans and street kids around the world. The collapse of communism in the former USSR and Eastern Europe has led to overwhelming problems with abandoned and/or abused children literally living on the streets. Elsewhere, such as in the Sudan and Afghanistan, war, disease, and poverty have exacerbated this growing problem. Thus, the care of street children and orphans is among the Family Care Foundation's primary concerns.
